Julie Creeden

Julie Creeden is CTLM’s Writing Coordinator. Her job focuses on writing and editing the facilitator guides for the center’s professional development courses throughout the state.
 
Julie has many years of teaching experience in both public schools as well as Iowa’s R & D School, where she most recently taught 6th grade language arts and social studies and supervised Level 2 pre-service teachers. Earlier in her teaching career, Julie co-authored a 2nd grade manipulative-based math curriculum, which was used in Cedar Falls Public Schools, as well as Price Laboratory School for several years. Most recently, together with her 6 th grade team at the R & D School, she created a middle school advisory curriculum based on Sean Covey’s book, The 7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens as well as Steven Covey’s, The Leader In Me.
 
Julie earned her BA in elementary education from the University of Northern Iowa in 1984.
