Jean Hitchman

Jean fulfills the role of math technical writer for all CTLM facilitator guides. She assists in the facilitation of Making Sense courses, in particular by providing support to teacher participants in their schools in the areas of math instructional coaching and technical support of videotaping teaching lessons. Jean is also on the development team for the Teaching Math to Struggling Learners courses.
Jean earned her BS in Mathematics Education at the University of Kansas and Master in the Art of Teaching at Marygrove College. Before working at the Center for Teaching and Learning Mathematics, Jean taught high school mathematics for 6 years in Michigan.
